After the definition of the source of information, you can :
identify precisely the source fields among the list or define a new custom filed
filter the imported fields
identify a destination field among the list or define a new custom field
Transform the value imported to have a consistent result in your email signatures even when the source is not unified (format the phone numbers, capitalize the last name, capitalize the first letter of the First name etc)
Update at each sync or update only when the new user is created or never update
All these tools allow you to prepare very precisely your sync before it is even active.
